Choccolocco -Funeral service for Annie Ruth (Ann) White Couch, 74, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary, Anniston with the Reverend Burgess Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Iron City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Couch died on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Choccolocco, was born in Cleburne County, AL, on May 17, 1943.

Mrs. Couch died on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Choccolocco, was born in Cleburne County, AL, on May 17, 1943.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Billy M. Couch; daughters, Michelle Couch Pollard Gordon of Hokes Bluff, and Allison DeAnne Couch of Choccolocco; grandsons, Brian Pollard of Hokes Bluff and Brad Pollard of Ball Play; special granddaughter, Emily Lane of Hokes Bluff; and brother, Jerry Franklin White of Oxford.

She was preceded in death by her father, Matthew Daniel White; mother, Creola Wade White; sisters, Marie White Borders and Jewell White; brothers, Troy Rudolph White and Bayliss White.

Pallbearers will be members of the Over the Hill Gang Civic Club, White Plains, AL.

She was a graduate of Anniston High School and employed in her early years at Roses Variety Store and J. C. Penney. She was an active member of Holley Springs Baptist Church.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Calhoun County Alacare Hospice nurses, Randy Prickett, Darlene Crowe, Lindsey Watts and The Over the Hill Gang, members of Holley Springs Baptist Church and the Choccolocco Heritage Society.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and loved tending to her flower garden. The family will be accepting flowers or, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alabama Chapter, American Lung Assn., 1678 Montgomery Highway, Birmingham, AL 35216 (205) 603-1450.
