Funeral services for Geraldine Hester, 96, of Anniston will be at 11:00 am, March 14, 2017 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with David Hodnett of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Hester passed away on March 11, 2017.

She is survived by her niece, Diana Summers and her nephew, Joe Daniel; great nieces, April Wynn and Katy Langley and great nephews, Josh Daniel and Jody Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James E. Hester; her sister, Carolyne Daniel and her parents, Ezra and Phyllis Rooks.

Pallbearers will be Luther Owen, Tom Hamilton, Scott Burleson, Lamar Dill and Jack Cavender. Honorary Pallbearers are Lowndes Butler, Dr. Kirby Bryant,
Ken Roy and Charles Orr.

Mrs. Hester was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She retired from Fort McClellan where she worked in the Finance Department.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
