Funeral services for Susie Opal Johns Barrett, 84, of Saks will be held on Sunday, March 29, at Harvest Church of God at 3:00. Burial will follow immediately. Family will receive friends prior to the service at 2:00. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the great-grandsons. Officiating the service will be Rev. Jerry Irwin, Rev. Don Maddox, and Rev. W.H. Ford.

Mrs. Barrett died at her home on Friday.

Survivors include daughters Jane McMichael (Bernie) and Rita Cobb (Michael); sons Phillip (Shellie), Keith (Cendy), Preston Barrett; brother Douglas Johns (Pat); grandchildren Tamitha Lynch (Bobby), Charlie (Mendy), and Chad (Erica) McMichael, Pam Baker (Doug), Diana Cobb, Jason Barrett (Chasity), Brandy O'Neal, Jennifer Grubbs, Reed Barrett (Kayla), Anna Barnes (Chris), Jacob, Kirsten, Landon, Mason, Brooklyn Faith, and Bailey Grace Barrett, Fisher and Lily Barrett and a host of great grandchildren

Mrs. Barrett is preceded in death by Allen Clifton Johns (father), Mary Frances Barber (mother), Thelma Johns (step-mother), Charles Johns (brother), Levern Barrett (spouse), Dennis Barrett (son), and Ashley Swafford (grand daughter).

Mrs. Barrett was a lifelong member of Harvest Church of God. She lived her life, finding joy in serving others sacrificially. She cared for her family with great love and grace. Even in her death, she made everything seem graceful and easy. Her heart, home, kitchen, advice or anything she had was offered freely to the many family members, friends or others who were touched by her legacy of love and generosity.
